My bro and I are possibly looking to get a very cheap dinghy for blasting sessions.  Idealy we want an asymmetric with a trap.  May do a couple of races, but mainly when we are both back home, dust it off and go for a major session.  We both have quite a bit of experiance in asymmetric hiking boats, but limited experiance in trap boats.  I'm 5'6" and about 58kg, my bro is about 6'1" and about.. i'm guessing here 70kg maybe more.  We have discounted the 29er due to price and you need to seriously put the hours in to be able to keep it upright.  Any ideas?  Huge thanks inadvance.

Have a look at ISO,Buzz, Laser 3k, or 4k; pretty cheap single trap assymetrics, or if you fancy a bit more of a challenge, laser 5k or boss

Huge thanks for the advice.  But dont you have to fairly beefy to sail the boss/5tonner?  Cos I will be crewing, and the kite on those babies looks huge/powerful/enough to drag me across the boat.

Now gotta beg with the bank - claiming on medical/human rights reasons.... so not going to work.

Another vote for Buzz/Iso, cheap fun but with good racing if you want it
