How do I get the name onto my boat!?  I'm guessing it's laser cut out on sticky back plastic stuff and then just stuck on. Correct? If it is, where do I get it done? If it isn't, how do I do it?

There are a lot of places that can do it. I've used these guys and found them fine. Its run by a chap at my club. http://www.thecrowsnest.biz/3-boats.html - http://www.thecrowsnest.biz/3-boats.html

I ordered mine from these guys: http://www.boatnames.co.uk/ - http://www.boatnames.co.uk/

Service and product was excellent.  The web site allows you to try different fonts, colours etc and they post it out for you to apply yourself.  It's pretty easy to stick it on.  The trick it getting it straight

I walked into a local signwriters when I had one done...

Chap took me upstairs and drew up exactly what I wanted.. picked it up later in the day, about a tenner in all for 2 copys.

Would definantly recomend it over the 'specialist' boat name places... its the same stuff, only with unlimited choice and for less money

I used 'Wadedesigns' from eBay - they only advertise a very limited range of colours and fonts but they produced the name on my boat in a dark red/maroon colour in an unusual font called 'adict'  - very good quality and far cheaper than some of the on-line alternatives,

Local signwriters. Cheaper and you get a wider choice of graphic effects.
