Hi.
A new version is running at http://www.tacticat.com/" target=_blank rel=nofollow>http://www.tacticat.com
- Team racing support
- Improved rules engine
- We have set up a server in Brisbane for Oz, tacticat sailors can now connect to Euro, USA and AUS servers to get better response time
- All tacticat boats (lasers, skiffs and cats) have now a Velocitek speedo/GPS to get online info about their sailing parameters (like you would have with the equipment in your real boat)

Tacticat is a non-profit org, owned by and for sailors. Tacticat sailing is free you only have to register (with a valid e-mail) to have a boat with your name and enter the serious races with prizes and trophys.

The only requirement: to have an Internet connection and Java support in your computer (go to http://www.java.com/" target=_blank rel=nofollow>www.java.com to download and install if you dont have it).

Yes we do want this.

Amando Astela who runs tacticat spends a huge amount of time working on tacticat which as he says is a non-profit organisation and he is merely trying to promote it to more people in the hope that numbers playing will increase, and then increase the enjoyment for everyone who plays it.

Just making a point

If you don't ask....

Thanks guys.  We see more and more convincing methods of advertising, so it never hurts to check

No no no we don't want this!

Tacticat is highly addicitive and should carry lots of health warnings.  I started on the soft stuff, you know, a few cat starting practice games, and before I knew it I'd fallen in with the wrong crowd and was soon a hardcore Altea Laser regatta user.  "Can't hurt" I told myself, "just one more race to make up for that iffy start last time" and before you know it it's 3am and you are being threatened with divorce!

When the skiffs came out I realised I had a problem, and fortunatly I have been "clean" for about 2 months now, although I might have to have another look "for old time's sake..."

Play it at your peril...you have been warned!
