Datchet is the second in our events list this year and is on the 31st March and 1st April

for those of you who missed out the first time as our great event at Weston this is the second chance to grab a classy TASA trophy, or to add to your already existing TASA collection.

Saturday is again a Training day with on and off the water coaching and clinics, and then its off to the bar for a pint and some hearty food and then time for the pub quiz.

Sunday is a racing day, to showcase those skills, With even Alex and myself making an appearence out on the water with our 800, and 14. (trust me it'll be worth it just to see us mess up) then onto the TASA trophy prize giving.

If your planning on arriving on the friday with your vessel of choice be sure to let Alex or myself know.

Due to avaliable coaches, and us having to book them we need to know numbers ASAP so please send the forms into me as soon as you can or ring or contact Me to confirm your entry, you will NOT be able to join the training unless you have 'booked' prior to the event

Also please read the changes to our sailing instructions Re: Sponsorship, on the entry form avaliable at http://www.tasa.org.uk - www.tasa.org.uk

hope to see you all there!

Hi all

Tom Gruitt has asked if anyone from fotoboat can attend, its out of my area and I have told Tom fuel cost`s are an issue.  Depending on the weather situation I am prepared to make the journey south it looks like it could be a blast.

Obviously the trip down will depend on the weather forecast but could who ever is responsible for the event please make sure adequate arrangements have been made with the host club for a photographer to be on site and to get me on the water, I need confirmation in advance.

Hi Mike After Speaking with Alex about having you there, Alex will contact Datchet to double check things etc.

Fo rus however it is more practical for us to just have you out on sunday taking pictures if thats okay. If you want to contact Alex personally his details are on the TASA site

it would be great of course to have a photographer there, even though i know arranging for another one has been very last minute

Just got in from Cherub Testing at Draycote SC (I went straight to Draycote SC from Datchet SC) which was not planned,  the images from the TASA Event will be reviewed tonight and I will put a link here where they can be found, obviously this will just be a low res profile the images will be featured on the fotoboat website soon.

I wouldn`t wait with baited breath, very sorry not many images due to the safety situation !!! and its certainly the wrong place to go into detail.  I have some more onshore images which require uploading, I will sort them out and make them available soon and post the link here.  I am sure it would be great to see a TASA Event in the Midlands, we have many clubs which are proffessional in every respect and would welcome a TASA Fleet.

Mike Rice at fotoboat HQ is enjoying the delights of Spain at the moment so any previews on fotoboat will be delayed.

Ref a club which would welcome a TASA Event

I would highly recommend Burton SC,

Burton SC is a very well established sailing club which is currently re inventing itself and I am sure a TASA Event would be a major step in the right direction to help promote the club, Burton SC has one of the best sailing waters in the area which would be suitable for TASA boats, and they would provide a very personal and warm welcome.

You would need to contact the sailing sec Craig Hellon via the club website
