Hi,

Has anyone heard of the class 'Devon Jack'?

All the information I have on this class is that it is GRP and is possibly built on the River Yealm or Salcombe.

Thanks!

Or go on the CVDRA web forum and ask the question.  Alternatively, Rupert will probably see this thread and maybe save you the trouble

I'm afraid its the rule of modern life,

if it aint on google or you can't buy it on E-bay it doesn't exist and was probably nothing more than a fevered flash of your over-active imagination.

I don't make these rules up you know.

actually i might make them up a bit!

The frightening thing is that it is mostly true.

I live near Devon and have never seen one sailing around in any harbour. Maybe is was a guy named Jack who like to sail in Devon?

I think i know of the class they were originaly from the salcombe area, the are a 30's design mostly built by one family, the looked a little like the very early Moths, they had bamboo rigs and lea boards. There were two being sailed last summer in Salcombe by a couple of octagenarians.
