I'm about to pick up an RS600 with wide wings only but, given my liking for pies and beer, need narrow wings accoring to the class rules.

Apart from buying them new from LDC which seems really expensive, is there a way of cutting down the wide ones into narrow ones. Ok, I know that I won't have any wide ones left but, if it was done carefully and, at the right length would anyone notice?

Is there anything in the class rules given the strict one design or anything technical that would prevent me from doing this?

Alternatively does anyone have any spare narrow wings they could let me have for a reasonable price?

Get yourself on the 600 yahoo group and ask there... it shouldnt be long before someone buys a boat with narrow wings and needs wide ones and straight swaps seem to be pretty common.

I wouldn't go chopping your narrow wings down... you make them too short boat length wise for the mountings that they sit on!

Mine are for sale if you want a set.
