We need a new game like this or that, throughout these cold months we need to keep warm by being ready to type in your answer before anybody else
Can anybody think of any?

What about posting sailing related questions for others to answer, just make sure you can't copy it into google and get the answer that way!
Like, whats the smallest boat at LIBS?
Anyone else got a suggestion?

That's far too brainy, radixon... The beauty of the "This or That" thread was its mind-numbing simplicity. You just needed a quick look around you and there was the next question (Here, right now, it would be SD 128Mb or 1Gb?") It could even have been linked to the "drunk post thingameebob" and no, I won't give any examples
For a clever, researched, sailing knowledge-based quiz, http://www.cvrda.org/quiz/quiz_2006_instructions.htm - see the Christmas questionnaire from CVRDA...

Depends if you use you camera for video clips. I'd go for 1Gb anyway cos when you upgrade to a 10Mpix camera you will only get 12 pics on a 128Mb. I might even have an old 128Mb one you can have. I'll check tonight.
Although I note that long wordy answers negate the point of the This/That game.

Oh I've got a 1Gb card for MY camera but daughter #1 has received a smaller camera from Santa and both SD cards were here on my desk at the time of my post. And yes, you're right, wordy answers are not de rigueur. Besides, you're supposed to answer totally arbitrarily, then offer your own fascinating alternative.
Y&Y variant: if the options have already been submitted in the thread, the person posting has to complete a 720 in front of his/her screen - a good excuse for playing with the swivel chair.
but no - no - no... you're right, Mike, we can't resurrect This or That... I've got work to do!

Another game I have seen is to start at number one, and get a picture of the next number. This would be far to easy, so we could amend it slightly to be a SAIL number of a actual boat (not a photoshop jobby though thats cheating).

I like the sound of the above, and we need a punishment for posting the same number after someone, a bit like this or that when someone would be slightly too slow and post the answer to the question after someone else already has.
Although it could be quite hard to find a sail number for each one.
Edit: like someone has just done to me, posted before i got my post in

ooh got good one... rigmarole (or the story game): one person says a sentence, for example, "once upon a time there was a frog, who lived in a....." and the next person carries on and so on.

I know!! unfortunately it was me who started it!!
How about another called the person above me.
Simply post something that you know about the person who posted above
you in the thread. There is a wealth of information right here on the
forum about every user, if you look for it...
I'll pretend that Scooby_Simon posted before me as an example...
