There's a limit on the number of entires isn't there? Is it full yet?

Not sure. Don't think so cos on the Grafham web site they have a list of entrants which may be out of date but shows there's still space.

Its supposed to be a really good event, probably going to go for it. Good excuse to break away from family matters w/o having to go to the office. LOL.

Only 29 entries listed so far....but it is definitely out of date.

Weather permitting I'll be there with the v3k .... and a crew if it's not too cold for him.

I'm in the SLOOWW fleet - so shall only see the rear end of most of you!

Come on Mr Medway, 3000s are sailing off 1030 so you might win!

Been too busy to sail the flippin thing.  Too much work then my son was ill.  I'm planning to sail this SATURDAY as the is not much happening Sunday.

So far I've only been sailing in about F2-3 but feels good so far - last trip out the GPS was saying 16.1 kts.#

Still got plenty of things to sort out with it and the GGP will be my first race ! #

You can still enter the Grand Prix if you ring the GWSC office - 0845 644 2548 or 01480 810478. The Grand Prix is on the SATURDAY - 30th December (not Sunday as in previous years) - there are still some spaces left, but it remains pre-entry only.

As I'm your duty officer for the day I hope there'll be a really good turnout - at least the forecast is better for next weeke than it is for the next few days!

Hope to see you there

If you look on the website for the entry list, don't panic if you are in the wrong fleet.  there was a small wobble with the software so some boats are in the wrong fleet - e.g. the Moths are in with the Cats / Asym's - moths have neither 2 hulls for a Asym spi !!!!

Yes indeedy  ......  20knots + on some forecasts !!

Staying upright really might be a problem as my crews have mutinied on grounds of cold wet weather.  Even if GWSC will let me single hand .. it might be a bit of a challenge!

We also have our very own photographer documenting the event with prints avaliable on the day at low prices. you can also order larger prints/photo CD/ event DVD...

So feel free to come forward to say hi to me or Alex as hopefully it should be a good one! (esp if Andy and Tom's 12 lives up to the name!)

Emma, put urs and Alex's pix up ere so we know who to approach - and anyone wishing to talk to me and tom, we are "Team Lardy"!! Stood by a blue 12ft skiff with an equally impressive pole

And as i've heard a lot about this 12ft beastie i will be very much looking forward to the erm.. carnage?

The Photos will be avaliable on the day but of course we will put samples up here that you will be able to order through TASA.... even if it is that 'have to have' shot of 'Team Lardy' going down the mine!

BTW you'll easily recognise me or Alex as we'll be running around with TASA hoodies on.

us sailing? i wish! sadly i'll be watching the carnage from the rib, I'm there in full TASA capacity so the 14 and the 800 are being left behind... (much to Windspirit, the 14's disgust!)

Plus our Double Stacker Trailer isn't ready yet (eventually it is being adpated to take the rib and either the 800 or 14)

So sadly no sailing from either of us on the day but i'm sure you'll see me Pitchpoling Windspirit in spectaular style at TASA events, and many others soon!  (you get points for wipeout style right??)

Bloody rain - Dad wanted to pack up and leave asap due to the drenching so i didnt get to meet all of you, talk to those i met properly, hope we can all meet up properly at another event (bloody mary?).

Was a good days racing, started bloddy windy which was fun - unforunately had rigged kite halyard round forestay so couldnt use the kite in the first race, got 14.7 kts on a two sailer which isn't bad - not brilliant tho.

Second race was happier with myself, slightly easier to manage and drive - 3rd race yet lighter still. Really enjoyable days racing, very well run with a good course. Just sorry meeting you all was cut short by Setting up, packing up, the bloody rain and the 3 hour journey back to the Souith Coast.

Clocked 19 on a one sailer !   and that was when it was not too windy.  The GPS had turned it's self off before the gust that flipped me off the back - fastest I've been on any cat in 26 years, before I broke the tiller....  would have been a speedfreaks winning speed too !

heh heh twas fun if not slightly cold! 12ft skiffs are amazing!

that was a rather large bottle of gin ellie, might weigh your boat down a little if you sailed with it, or maybe some other type of weight mmmm

was a wicked event and was great to have a photo person there and now how some great pics  so big thanks to the tasa guys for that. the wind in the first race was wicked and managed to get a gps reading of 40knots when i feel off the dagger board and got a reading of 18knots in the first race shame we got a black flag cos we stayed upright and had some pace on.

in the first race there was some really good wipe outs in the fast flleet with all the 9ers upside down and masts falling down before people got to the start.

was good to see a few more of you up at the event and put a few more names to faces, will hopefully see a few more forumers at the bloody mary
