Saw one on Lake Garda in september, after an hour or so of Hobies flying past the bloke looked like he realised he was on a duff boat.

Perhaps it's the sheer terror of them both sitting to lee on such a high-performance craft at the same time that's causing the nervous smiles.

Seriously though, if the thing (unwilling to use the word boat) capsized how would you right it? It's going to invert - no doubt about it. So you stand on the boards or something?

(Or abandon it, claim on the insurance and get something else.)

How could it possibly capsize???

I think my 16 mnth old daughter could sail that in a force 10!!! look at the size of the sail!!!

Who on earth would buy one its just rubbish

Its basically just an inflatable for playing in shallow water by the beach, like all the other ones that get sold, except this one's got a little sail on as well. If you capsize it you just stand up and turn it over. You can jump off it, put a few cans and sandwiches on it, put a towel on it, all the other stuff you'd use a little inflatable on the beach for, plus its got a little sail so you can mess about a bit with that as well.

As long as you think of it as being a play inflatable that's got a little sail to add a little bit extra rather than a proper sailing boat I really don't see why its so terrible...

Nope, I can't imagine ever wanting one myself. But I attempt to keep a reasonably open mind about different sorts of boat.

A seven foot wide beam without sacrificing speed? Should be quicker than a 505 then....

Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and
oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital

I'm with Jim C on this one...it is better than the blow up boats you can buy in ASDA in the summer...mind, they cost £9.99, so I'd probebly be willing to spend £29.99 on this one!

I would imagine there are many people out there who would far rather own a sea eagle than a racing dinghy. Can't say I'm one of them...And I doubt they come on the Y&Y site. Camping and caravanning, maybe!

Owain, its all coming together now, Charlie has re rigged it (with loads of bailing twine) and when the boat was measured he realised that the mast is 4" to low (after speed repaired it) Hence why it sailed so badly and was hard to crew in, and we all know how much 4"'s is dont we, my misses says its the differance to a ood or bad night???1!!! dont get it though... answers on a postcard

Apparently 'its like no other sailboat on the market'

Jeez ya think

Jim may have a point tho.  For all you southern dwelling types, when your beaches get packed out in summer sail that little baby round anchor just off the beach and laugh at the slowly reddening crowds from Birmingham who have popped to the sea for the Bank Hol weekend.  Mind you you'll have to head off from your launch pint with a couple of weeks to spare...but hey!!

edit: think there may be a freudian slip in there somewhere!

I might be sailing it, but it's still sh**e!
