Simple advice - go to a shop with a range and try them on and see if the two of you can actually manage to agree...and then think to yourself how much would you pay to stop the permanent whingeing that "...you chose this thing and it really isn't comfortable..."

Get one each - you won't regret it in the long term. If you can't afford one each, consider tiddlywinks as your chosen sport.

At the moment I'm using a magic marine one, it's a male fit but it fits me very comfortably.....it's good cos you can adjust it loads so it fits the more feminie shape better. I'm afraid I can't remember which specific magic marine one it is....might be something beginning with E.
Damned blasted lectures have made my brain go all confuzzled and now I'm forgetting things!

if you go to ldc they have a test rig in their shop got loads of them as well.

i have a standard spreaderbar one cant remember who made it think it is a gul.

and have bought a banks nappy for my 14 which is amazingly comfortable.

i looked at loads and some are truly crap.

think the nappy ones are the best but depends on what u sail i used to sail cats loads so got a harness for lieing flat and not much standing now sail skiffs so have a simple one no straps just the hook

I got the crewsaver Adjustable Nappy Harness. By far the best I have used and very adjustable while also having nothing to snag.

From the top of my head, it's the Equipe (?) harness. One of the most comfy harnesses I've used, all the nappy ones have been uncomfortable so don't really mind sacrificing a few grams of added weight, just as long as I'm comfortable on the wire. What's better, being almost un-noticably lighter and aching round the course or having the miniscule weight difference, unaware you are wearing a harness and being able to concentrate on other things other than things hurting.

When i have borrowed the Magic Marine skiff light harness i found it very comfy, very adjustable too.

I eventually bought a P&B made to measure which is fantastic, you can't feel it on you! but its not ajustable so probably not the best idea!

From all the adjustable ones i have tried i would vote the skiff light. From all harnesses i have ever tried i would choose the P&B made to measure.

I borrowed a MM skiff light a few weekends back and found it very nice, probaly a bit comfier than my old MM one and the straps are covered better so less stuff to catch on.

One of my friends has a made to measure harness which his girlfriend has worn occasionally and she fits into it ok, though obviously a personal custom made one is going to be better! I certainly prefer made to measure to anything with straps. I also can't recommend Magic Marine quality after my £60 spray top lost all the lining from the sleeves within about 10 months of light use - water now pours through it and I've had no reply from contacting the shop I bought it from

MM skiff light is the one I've got. Also have a Batt made to measure. But it
was made a little tight to start with and now my age has caught up with
my waist. But i do like my MM skiff light apart form the adjusting straps
had a habit of undoing so I folded over the ends and sewed them so I
didn't fall out of it mid race which did happen once! they may have
changed the design since.

Curly Ben - the best spray top I've ever had was made by Yak. it was a
semi dry breathable - seals at wrists and neck with a zip up fleece neck
and neopreme velco wasit band. Still going strong, must be 10 years old
now.

I am using a Magic Marine Regatta Ladies Harness which I use with my sister.

We ended up spending over an hour in Whitstable trying different ones on to find one we both find comfortable.

I was lucky that me and my sister are a similar size

You both need to go and try some one.
