Hi everyone,

Just moved to London and I'm looking for a regular crew for my B14.  Basically looking to join the circuit next year, along with some club racing intersperced.

So, anyone north of the river in London or who is willing to travel to North London, send me a PM.  Assymetric experience would help, and a willingness to learn!  Not looking for a nationals winning crew but if you can hike it would help :) , I'm still learning too so don't worry too much.

The B14 is an excellent way of getting into faster boats - fast and forgiving with a massive, massive kite, if you're looking to get into Skiff sailing then look no further.  My B14 is top spec, carbon rig (and an alloy rig as well if you think you might break it...), excellent sails etc.  Will be based at King George SC as soon as I find the time to drive back to Scotland to pick it up!

Hi

I have a B14 that i sail with my brother and currently keep it at Datchet. Have hardly used it this year due to a combination of both our work commitments and lack of car.
Might be interested in sailing with you if the situation with my boat doesn't change. I usually helm but would be willing to give crewing a go as i'm sure it would benefit my helming in the long run.

I used to be a crew in the 420 youth squad way back in the day so i know a thing or two about it.

I also live in north london (finsbury park area)

pm me if interested

Allan

See you at King George!

They are very friendly there, and it will be lovely to have another asymmetric boat on the water.

So you're the Cherub!  I was wondering whose that was.  I'll give you a run for your money in the breeze downwind...

PS my Contender is the one without a top cover near your Cherub, if you see me come say hello.   Haven't sailed much there yet (couple of club races) but they are a friendly club.  Already started sailing an 18ft Skiff with a guy from KGSC so its well worth the membership!

There are 2 cherubs at KGSC. Ours is dark blue and in the garage at the moment (not broken, just on its way back from France). Are you thinking about the white one? That belongs to Dan.

We won't be there for a couple of weeks, but do come & say hi if you see us.

Lucy, I think you need to give Combat Wombat a lesson in what real downwind speed is

Now then. I have a personal rule that I don't suggest that my boat is any faster than another one until I have beaten it in a race.

I don't think I've ever beaten a B14 over the water but I'm definitely up for the challenge...
