Inaugural 12 Foot Skiff nationals - Royal Torbay Yacht Club - 20th to 23rd August

As part of the Timberland 193rd Royal Torbay Regatta the 12 foot skiffs will be holding their inaugural national championships. This highly sponsored event will be the first opportunity to see the 12 Foot Skiffs in all their glory and will be the focus of media attention. The twelve's will race on a windward leeward course giving opportunity for spectators to see all the thrills and spills. Sunday 20th will be a practice/demonstration day and will give spectators the chance to meet the crews and look over the boats. For those lucky enough to be on the water the action is certain to amuse.

The social programme includes; WKD, Carlsberg and Timberland happy hours and a Red Arrows display.

More information can be found at http://www.royaltorbayyc.org.uk/regatta/index.html - Royal Torbay Yacht Club

'Amusing' is not the word I'd use for it... unless you find serious injury amusing!

When it was set on fire and melted all over him...

Turnturtle, I applaud your sense of humour in the written format, but the insight you give us from your photo collection worries me, really worries me. Is there something you're not telling us?
