Well despite the forecasts it stayed mostly dry all weekend at Hayling. A bit of rain while sailing on Saturday, more of an issue was the lack of wind. We got one race in on Saturday, with Hugh leading Adam round the course, shortened after 2.5 laps and in we went. Sunday looked rubbish but the sea breeze did arrive and after an aborted first attempt at a race, start on port at the pin end and fetch to the "windward" mark, we got three races in. Consistency was the name of the game with all three races ending up Hugh, Brian, Grant, Adam and Phil.

Only 5 boats turning up was a bit of a shame, but Weston is the next event. They have a good sized home fleet which should help the numbers. They are also a more inviting club and I'm sure the bar will be open.
