Anyone else getting bored of all the previews that seem to be poping up under the so called news section on this site ...

Reminds me of the sketch where people are taliking about having a pre-meeting pre-meeting to agree the agenda for the pre-meeting so that the actual meeting runs smoothly ...

Lets stick to reading about news ...

Rick

Hi Rick

Should I get rid of the calendar as well?

Sorry but people find these articles useful before going to an event and the readership of the articles backs that up.

I always delay putting these on until the end of the week when less news is going on anyway.

Then again, maybe I shouldn't have run this preview article...?

I guess that means get back in your box!

One question though, why don't I see the news anymore? I get all the peripherals on the front page but no news or pictures.

I might be sailing it, but it's still sh**e!

Hi tack'ho

I've done a change around with the styling yesterday and there could be a couple of bugs - which operating system / browser are you using?

Cheers, Mark

I'm on WIndows 2000, internet explorer version unknown.  Its through the MOD gateway so I'm assuming the security is pretty tight!

I knew you'd do that ... we'll I guess it's a matter of balance. That was what I consider to be an exception, if I do a preview of every MPS open event will you publish them all?

But then ... what about a preview of the previews ?

Rick

No still blank, also seems to take forever to load.  Not convinced the problem isn't my end, we have some very suspect IT support. Don't tell them I said that though

I know Mark does a good job ... I'm only leg pulling. But I do think there are a few too many previews as do others from the posts above ... perhaps some should not make the cut; that is all I am suggesting.

I thin that previews for training are good because it might get people who are only vaugly interested but previews for opens are not likely to get any more people for that open than are already interested - I may be wrong of course but then again its just my opinion.

And normaly its ok becuase there are only a few previews but 2day it was an overwealming amount

I don't have a problem with the news as I only open items I'm interested in. Prefer to see it as it is rather than less.

you mean there are people on these forums that actually have time to sail, rather than just reply to posts?
