Has anyone ever tried sticking a piece of progrip to the bottom of their feet, rather than the boat?

 Benefits include:
- Lower costs
- Saved weight
- No need to find a colour to match the boat

I'm telling you guys, it's the future, you heard it here first!

I bet you also brought a pair of slippers with carpet linings to save carpeting your house.

If you've got a few offcuts, you could line the palm of your gloves with it too! No more slippy ropes... And a special trick for Contender443, who's always biting the mainsheet: progripped teeth?

PS. Are you sure this thread doesn't belong in Banter?

i think the best thing for that is a pice of elastik around your wast and you tuk the end of the main sheet in it so its alwase next to you and if you have a bid acedent as you do time to time it come out so it ont heart

i know alot of the IC sailors do this

and progrip is desind to prvid frishon on your show not you deck so it will not work as it is a diffrent kind of surfice

Stuberry I have a better idea.  Sit in front of a PC playing Virtual Skipper 3 whilst breaking pieces of carbon over your knee and ripping up £20 notes.  At the same time I'll smack you over the head with a spare boom and throw buckets of cold water over you.

Benefits include:
No boat required
No crew required
No club membership required

Sorted!!

Actually I'm working on a new substance - the stickiest known to man - ENC short for Essence of Nightclub Carpet.

Progrip will be out of business.

I often keep the main in my teeth (when the for'ad hand hasn't got it), and one time, I'm not quite sure how but i suddenly realised i was trapezing by my teeth!
