Hi there everyone, just wondering does anyone need a crew for the bloody mary on saturday? Im available and can get there if you need a crew, I have experience in symmetric and aysymmetric (better at the 2nd), usually sail a cherub, previously sailed many skiffs and other boats.

Either reply here or PM me!!

Thanks

obviously not. Why not just turn up and see if anyone appears without a crew, there is bound to be someone

What, you mean like "my daughter can't do this year's Champs" or "my crew has just rung up and is stuck 100 miles away with a breakdown" ?

I have sold GRB162 and have a new boat on order

If BBSC is Bough Beech then you probably have as I have sold it to Chris Ashby; how is he getting on?

Rick

PS - My comment above was driven by offering to crew for a guy who turned up for the Merlin Nationals at our club with no crew. I was 12 and as keen as mustard; I am surprised I didn't give up the sport by the end of the week; most unplesant experience (nothing to do with Merlins BTW)

I would like to know how hes getting on too!

He certainly did well in the 400, love to know how hes gettin on in the skiff. No doubt you race against his son Neil at Whitstable, Rick?

Umm lets just say thats rick's progress is umm.... steady and he enjoys the water. But i think the transition from a 400 to MPS is quite a big one. Plus never having trapezed before might not help

hi everyone.  the b-mary was very exciting and the only amusing thing being a 29er capsizeing in a very strong wind.  when we first when out there was a nice bit of wind,  well the kite was just filling.  and once it came to our start the wind had died and the race turned into a drift around.  it took us 30mins to reach the windward mark and about 2 hours for use just to get round half of the first lap.  so we decided to call it a day mainly cos our fingers felt like they were going to fall off.  it was a good turn out though with just over 200 boats braving the extreme condition.  the winner was a thames A rater who spanked everyone distpite being late for the start. the high performance fleet was well represented with about 10 inter14's, 4 49er's, 7 29ers, us,  and the new 29er xx which looks very sexy and a new 05cherub which was struggling in the light winds.

i will be back next year to see if we can have a good blast round.

happy sailing.  luke
