Today.. October the tenth, one of the warmest pleasant breeziest afternoon races of the year, perfect, even though I did run the rudder aground, my supposed break out cleat failed and I mounted the island letting a Laser through. Amazing how quick you get out of practise in one boat when you're trying to perfect another..

Nice one. 👍 Even at work today I was sitting atop the boat in full sunshine painting handrails. A dabbers delight.

| As I see it none of the other classes offer any advantage over the Laser. None of the other choices have established supply on the scale of the Laser so cannot claim to be any better. The Laser is cheapest out the 4 and already has the necessary infrastructure. None of them are going to be exciting as 'boats' its about the racing and the stories which unfold. |

Took adavantage of weather to re-deck my Verandah roof and large workshop roof, took longer than it should due to sitting in the sunshine

it's the power of foresight, or the inevitability of the Y&Y forum... all threads come back to whether Lasers are a good positive force or indeed something wholly negative within our lives... a bit like social media, liberalism and tinder.... OK (Grindr too ... sorry Team Blaze)

Fundamentally as far as the Laser goes using Occam's Razor the simplest solution is that purely by weight of owner numbers, everything advantageous to the Lasers existence will continue to frustrate those of us that feel it is always positively biased in favour of by the 'establishment'. Given that nearly every sailor has at some time owned a Laser it's highly unlikely that all sailing related organisations are not infiltrated by them.
