Looking at purchasing one of the above dinghies, an early Hartley Wanderer or a 2007 Stratos centreboard in good condition.
Looking for a dinghy that carries weight well being a 17.5st helm, hopefully is fairly competitive on PY for our club racing but is fairly stable.
I know both are fairly heavy out of the water but my last boat was a K6 so used to it.
Just wondering on your thoughts about the 2 different dinghies

Stratos every time, it is a nice boat to sail and will carry your weight a lot better than the shorter Wanderer. It will also feel more lively.   Just be aware that it may be difficult to get new Stratos specific spares as the Stratos is no longer in production

I think it also has a good handicap.  Go for it!

The Stratos is bigger than a Wayfarer, so a very different beast to a Wanderer, which is more 2000 sized.

With respect, if you have weight to carry, more waterline lenght won't be a mistake IMHO.
The Wanderer is not a big dinghy.
RS Vision?
Why not a Wayfarer?
Osprey?
