Sodebo and Thomas Corvelle are nearly round the world in an extraordinarily quick time, well over 2500 miles ahead of where Joyon was at this point.

Nothing really on Uk media. I know Y&Y online generally sits back and waits for people to send stuff, but surely some things are worth at least a chase to get some English language updates?
I didn't pick up on the attempt until he was round Cape Horn, but he must have scythed through the Vendee fleet like they were stopped, soon after the start?
With Francis Joyon now on a Jules Verne attempt too, plenty of mad people out there to cheer on

49 days to go round the world on your own... just astonishing. 8 days off the previous record, which itself was 2 weeks better than the one before it.

Wind and weather better managed, but there must be luck involved, too. He missed the record by about 2 hours in 2014, so plenty of determination, too!
