Chris RS600s are built with the kicker U-bolt fitted before the deck and hull are joined. If the U-bolt snaps or works loose, then it is necessary to fit a hatch on the vertical buckhead to access the back of the fitting. A boat with a hatch is not dissadvantaged in any way. cheers |

| mine has a hatch as the previous owner has significantly re-enforced the u bolt that holds the kicker etc. Brilliant if you ask me and it means in the summer i can let the hull breathe and dry out |
