I have a Laser Radial based at Lancing but am not getting out much as racing is only on Sunday, when I usually have other commitments, & it's mostly a bit hairy to go out by myself.

I'd like to be able to sail on Saturday, either on my own or racing. Would anyone be able to help with advice on where best to go for this? So far, the options I'm looking at are Weston, Chichester & Weir Wood (I'm based in Brighton).

Any thoughts on the pros & cons of any of these, or any other suggestions, would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Lucy

ps apologies if this is in the wrong section, I couldn't find a 'which sailing club' option!

Hayling... Racing Saturdays & Sundays. Not sure what the Laser fleet is like though. Lots of clubs on the coast between Brighton and Chichester though, as well as many on the harbour itself so some calls or visits might be in order. If you're prepared to go as far west as Weston, then the Laser-fest that is Lee-on-Solent should also be on your list (or is it Hill Head?).

Hi Noah
I think you are talking about Stokes Bay for Lasers.
We only have a few.
But Stokes dont do much on a Saturday racing wise but you may find a few out practising.
Worth going down to see whats hapeening and get a few numbers of people who train so you dont waste time and fuel. Nick Harrison would no more.

We'd be more than happy to see you at Weir Wood Lucy. I am sure you could get a winter membership and you can sail pretty much whenever you like.
