i have recently taken on the role of youth rep in the scopion fleet however i am trying to organise an event that will include all the youth sailors in the scorps around the country. the age limit to being a youth in the scorp is 21. my idea was 3 seprate events north south and middle of the country. two to qualify. can you tell me if it is a good idea or how to make a start in organising this please. it is my first real resposability to the fleet i dont want to cock it up.

Transport is a problem for youths. It might be better to organise a "in club" competition and the winners get a reward and a chance to compete against each other at some venue at the end of the season. In this way less have to travel and yet you involve more of the youth in the class. Laser's do it (but not just for youth) its called the Laser Club Championship, I think.
