Hi everyone!
Looking to buy a doublehander to sail at uni with a mate, budget is approx. £2K and I want something as fast as possible (ideally would get a 49er but they are a bit pricey!)
Combined weight is approx. 130-140kg
Have experience sailing enterprise, gp14, laser, topper, byte cii, graduate, feva, laser 2000, bahia.
Looking forward to hear your ideas!
Cheers,
Rich

Fast cheap, I would say you are looking at something like a L4K maybe even an L5K perhaps a Buzz or maybe and Iso for that kind of money. Or maybe a 97 rules Cherub, you might be a little heavy though.

You can always get a cheaper Fireball but whilst it would be great fun it is unlikely to be competitive on the open circuit.

Severn composite Fireballs are well within that price range now, as will be some of the Winder compo's, too. Hard to beat in bangs for bucks terms, but I'm biased!

L5K could be fun, depends if any go on apolloduck over the summer.
Was thinking maybe a B14?
