If I was looking to buy a new boat would it be worth waiting for next year's boat shows or just place an order now. I'm thinking of a Magno and would hope to have my own boat by next May.

Also, having never been to a boat show before, is sailing gear well priced at the shows or should I stick to the internet.

Thanks

There are bargins to be had at the show but you need to know what you want and the normal price. Unless you plan to sail between now and the spring you loose nothing by seeing what deals come up before christmas or what's avaiable at the London show and Dinghy show.

Why dont you check the topper website

They have a display boat with free combi trailer for £2600

Its never been in the water and you will not buy cheaper than that

It is quite common for sailmakers to offer "winter discounts" because otherwise they don't get much business outside the main sailing season. I suspect if you offered to buy a new boat during the winter months, you would get a good discount. Why not ask?

Yacht manufacturers definitely offer "boat show bargains"; don't know about dinghies but it may well be the same.
