The Streaker has been sailed down our lake since time began, they were square wooden things contracted presumably for ageing dwarfs like myself but without a centreboard. They have/had a Bandit ready PY which the character free banditerati and their favourite male chicken builder have rushed to production with. I note one has won a series down the lake I sail at, at the hands of a helm that probably shouldn't have. (Or maybe they were running one of those perverse personal handicap charades who knows who even cares until his name gets emblazoned in Bold caps across the pages of the sports section in the local rag, whereupon questions like 'you're into sailing do you know Chicken Streaker man?' to which you respond, no and no and that's not what i do, a Streaker is for pond scum, in fact not pond scum it's whatever the bit is that feeds off the pond scum..
Oh er where was I again?
Sorry slipped away there for a bit..
The Streaker what can I say?
That box, what's that box called that you stand the toilet brush in?
That's a Streaker..(Or is it a Solo I dunno they both look the same)
Will it beat a Lightning though?
That is the question and if the answer is yes then the Lightningerati need to change their rig and get with the program..

Of course really the Streaker and Lightning classes need to merge, and the new class will of course be...
[oh come on, surely the punch line is obvious]
The "Streak 'o' Lightning...
(I'll get my coat)

.........The only reason a CA would put that stuff on a modern website is because they're still proud of it.

Or because they have an acute sense of irony?

I suppose it could be rationalised that way.
