Just in case no one has heard I am off to Italy tomorrow to sail a new boat of a certain class provided it has been delivered and is actually built.

There are some doubters in my household and club who don't believe it...

Good luck with the C Vanessa, shame you are in the wrong country.

After taking the boyfriend for his first sail (in a force 6 gusting 7) last week, we are going to see if we can get the kite up tomorrow and try to improve his trapezing technique... the 2m gap between his legs didn't look too elegant, but i don't think you could expect anymore in that weather for a 1st timer.

If you mean the wooden one, sail no 865 I think, then yes.  I couldn't resist the wooden hull!  I'm hoping I can get this one afloat faster than the phantom (10 or so years to get to where I was happy with it!)

Medway Marathon this coming weekend.  I can't wait, lots of boats and a big distance around interesting parts of the Medway.  A facinating race - it takes 4 to 5 hours if the wind is kind.  The forecast is light so it may indeed be a marathon.  I've attached a picture of the course - I'd better thank Google Earth for the basis.
