Does anyone fancy explaining how someone can put a National governing body down as their sailing club?
I see it at loads of events, theres always someone racing under the " RYA " Surley only Olympians or Staff ( ? ) should be able too do that? Cheers, James |

James,
This is where they are not members of a sailign club but are personal members of the RYA. You need to be affiliated with the RYA to do 'Open' events I believe. Most people get this by default through their club but there are those who only do opens and for them there is no point join a club so they join the RYA instead. Paul |

Some people do it because they only do opens. It saves them paying club fees and doing duties.
