Ive studied German for 5 years but have discovered on numerous trips to Germany that you're usually better off with English, unfortunatly it seems my accent is good enough for everyone i speak to to assume that I am either German or fluent, and I am neither, mind u I am predicted an A at AS...

lol, biased is ok, I must admit I like french better, I found german to hard to learn too much gramar.... but then again my exams results dont believe that... and i think i can trump anyone on the languages front.... guess which one I learnt for GCSE |

N Ian no offence but english exam system exams dont actualy prove that you can speak the language, I know guys who got GCSE french with out being able to speak a word of the language and I went to a french school 4 a couple of months n got a D.

I did Russian v. briefly as extension in about yr8, it didnt last much more than a week, I think the only reason I'm good at German is that I lived in Germany when I was v. young, I couldnt get a grip of russian at all.

I actually like grammar 
!! Still, for the sheer elegance of the phrase, the refinement of the vocabulary and the pure emotional power of each word, I prefer French.... yep, I am a little biased
