No wind today in Cagliari for the under-22 team races that began on Friday.

If the first day of the European Team Race Championships under 22 RS Aero class was characterised by a mistral wind, which even touched 20 knots and more, unfortunately on Saturday the breeze fluctuated all day long both in intensity close to the minimum limit, and in direction, to the point of forcing the FIV Race Committee to give up and stay for the second day on the programme, with nothing done.

Everything will therefore be postponed to the last day on Sunday 29 October, when an attempt will be made to finish the round robin with the missing 10 matches and, if the wind and available weather allow it (last possible time for the last day is 15:30), the semifinals and finals will also be attempted. The wait for wind, however - to which all sailors are accustomed - was delighted by a beautiful sunny day during which the participants - all under 22 - were able to socialise and spend quite a few hours together.

The FIV Race Committee, Jury, posaboe staff and organising clubs, with Lega Navale del Sulcis and Canottieri Ichnusa, remained from morning until 4.30 pm trying to catch every sign of wind; on Sunday they will be just as ready for a last intense day, which will hopefully provide the right conditions for racing and bringing this Euro Championship to a successful conclusion.
