Exposure Lights X2 search light

Exposure Lights X2 search light

Exposure Light’s glare-free X2 personal search light for uncompromised night vision

Exposure Light's X2 compact, lightweight, rechargeable light, combines an intense, 573 lumens high-power searchlight with white beam and red beam modes to protect your night night vision from glare.

Both the white and red beam settings have three easy 'click through modes' - a high beam search light mode, economy setting and low beam option for working close up.

As well as an excellent spot light with up to 70 hours burn time, the X2 has an easy to use strobe and SOS flash option for emergency situations, such as a man overboard.  The fully waterproof (IPX8 rated to 3metres), aluminium anodised, casing floats beam to the surface creating a pool of light in the water - so it can be easily spotted in the water.

Critical to all night passages, are easy-to-use lights, which do not impinge on the skipper or crew’s night vision, which once lost from looking at a white light, can take 30 minutes to be fully restored.

Burn times:

  • high beam white searchlight is brighter than a car headlight - lasts for one hour on high
  • medium white beam lasts three hours, and low beam 13 hours
  • high beam red will light the top of a 31m Volvo 70 mast - so you can trim without blinding your team mates
  • high beam red lasts 3.5 hours, medium red lasts 13 hours
  • low beam red gives a soft ligth perfect for chart reading - lasts up to 70 hour

The red beam ensures that any on deck work, whether checking instruments, searching the bilges, or trimming sails can be achieved without dazzling the crew and impairing their night sight.

Exposure X2 retails for £199.95 and is supplied with:

  • belt holster
  • reflective Dyneema® wrist lanyard for easy carriage, the torches are highly portable
  • recharging holsters with 12V, 240V and USB options

Gone for good is the need for cumbersome and dangerous cabled spot-lights, that need to be found quickly, plugged in and restrict movement around the deck during an emergency, or trying to spot an unlit buoy at night.

Weighing approximately half the weight of a multi-tool, the X2 is the essential new tool to keep to hand for the safety conscious cruising or racing sailor.
