Annual Dinner & prize giving at Liverpool Yacht Club

Liverpool Yacht Club’s Annual dinner and prize giving took place on Saturday March 25th. 209 members and guests attended the event excellently organised by Rear Commodore Vinny Reynolds at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Liverpool.
Vice President Steve Harrison thanked John D’Henin for the tremendous effort he is making as Commodore and for the support of his lady Anne Gardiner. The Commodore covered the major events of the year including the start of the clipper round the world race and the acquisition of the 40-foot support vessel the MFV Gullmaren.
Guest of honour was Councillor Warren Bradley the Leader of Liverpool City Council who in his address said that the river Mersey was an integral part of the rejuvenation of Liverpool and that Liverpool yacht club played an important role in supporting and promoting that objective.
