64th National Schools Week at Itchenor Sailing Club - Day 1

Itchenor Sailing Club's 64th National Schools Week Championships got underway today with four races in the Feva XL class.

With record numbers of 105 boats from over 30 schools, the RS Feva event sponsored by JDX Consulting and MPI Brokers saw some superb conditions and racing.

Despite a delayed start after the first race was abandoned due to a wind shift, Hayling College's Henry and Rupert Jameson led the fleet with Churcher's College, Ditcham Park and Portsmouth Grammar School's Henry Chandler and Louis Johnson also in the leading pack. These schools dominated most of the races throughout the day with the Jameson brothers coming out on top following another win in the final race.

Feva class racing continues tomorrow with the Fireflys and 420s taking over between the 29th and July 1st.
