The Comet class made their annual visit to Fishers Green SC in the picturesque Lea Valley on Saturday 16th April as part of the Eastern Aphelion series.

Conditions were ideal with a F3 north-westerly giving a good long beat followed by a simple figure of 8 back to the start/finish line. Plenty of wind-shifts would make for some tricky upwind legs and while the beat could be dead true one minute, the wind could flick left and right, to the benefit of some and a loss to others.

Michael Ettershank was the dominant helm of the day with two wins and Ben Palmer the most consistent, discarding one of his three 2nd places, with Henry Jaggers taking a right-hand flyer to win the last race and get on the podium.
