Harken are pleased to announce sponsorship of Dan Parsons and Olly Clark (Team Atlantic Challenge) in the 2015-16 edition of the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge!
What is the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge?
Dubbed as the world's toughest rowing race, the Talisker Whisky Challenge will see Dan and Olly row more than 3,000 nautical miles across the world's largest ocean, starting in La Gomera in the Canary Islands this December and finishing in Antigua. Team Atlantic Challenge will face extreme weather, salt rashes, blisters, sun stroke and sleep deprivation; not to mention the physical and mental challenges of rowing a relentless shift pattern of two hours on and two hours off, with down time used to carry out essential repairs, make food and gain vital sleep.
Why are Harken sponsoring Team Atlantic Challenge?

Raising money for charity
Team Atlantic Challenge is racing to raise money and awareness for their two charities, Prostate Cancer UK and ABF, The Soldiers' Charity, with a target of £250,000. To raise this money Dan and Olly plan to break the record for the fastest paired boat to cross the Atlantic.
