by Elin Aaron 3 Aug 2015 20:41 BST 8-14 August 2015

There is less than a week to go before 386 sailors from 25 nations arrive in Pwllheli, North Wales for the Zhik 29er World Championships, with six days of top class international racing getting underway on Sunday 9 August.

Versadock International will help bring the event alive for on shore supporters after being unveiled as the sponsor for the TracTrac live tracking at the Zhik 29er World Championships 2015.

Versadock is a worldwide leader in modular floating docks and pontoon technology. Their backing will help make sure that nobody misses a minute of action from the racecourse as families and supporters of all competing sailors, wherever they are in the world, can follow the racing and support their sailors in real time via TracTrac through the event website at www.29er2015.com

Angus Young, Global Marketing Director at Versadock International, said: "We're delighted our support will enable so many people to feel like they are in the thick of the action in Pwllheli even if they are thousands of miles away."

Benjamin Cooper, Zhik 29er World Championships 2015 Event Chairman, added: "With the Zhik 29er World Championships just a week away, I'm sure that many families, friends and supporters in all corners of the world that are unable to travel to Pwllheli, or those that wish to follow the action from the shore will be as thrilled as we are to have Versadock and TracTrac onboard."

Versadock International joins Zhik, Ovington Boats, Gwynedd Council, Welsh Government, Welsh Water, Firmhelm Pwllheli and Funky Starfish as official event partners.

Live TracTrac tracking makes events come alive, revealing the drama, tactics and decisive moments generating excitement and insight for everyone involved. Spectators have a complete overview of the competition, and a stream of refined information and analyses conveying events in a way that is intuitive and rich and allowing viewers to understand the competition in a way never possible before.
