Simon Mussell became Contender World Champion today at Medemblik in Holland. In contrast to the rest of the week, today there was a very light wind, but just about enough for one race.
For Simon it was his discard, and with the wind fading there was no chance of a second race, meaning the Contender class has another new World Champion.
Mark Bulka and Andrea Bonezzi who were lying second and third also had a poor day, so the leader board remained as it had in the morning with these two taking Silver and Bronze.
Race winner today was Karsten Kraus followed by Christoph Engel and Gary Langdown.
Gold and silver fleet results are available now
