Allen Brothers today announced its sponsorship of the 2015 Osprey National Championships.
Allen Brothers Managing Director Liz Adams said, "Allen is first and foremost a dinghy racers' business, founded and formed by active racers. Now we have staff who race, we sponsor elite sailors up to Olympic level, and we support competitive sailing from grass roots to ISAF level. All this competition heritage is there in every product we make and sell. I am really pleased to continue this by sponsoring the Osprey Nationals and continuing our involvement with the class."
Osprey Class Association Chairman Peter Frith added, "We are delighted that Allen has chosen to support the Osprey Nationals this year. The Osprey has been continually developed over the years to keep at the forefront of dinghy racing, allowing carbon masts, booms and spinnaker poles, and laminate sails years before most classes. It is thus an ideal platform for the type of product development Allen delivers."
The Osprey National Championships will be from 23-26 July at Highcliffe Sailing Club. The Mudeford Quay location looks out over the beautiful Christchurch Harbour and open water in Christchurch Bay, and the Championship is certain to offer an excellent spectacle as well as being a great competition.
Competitors will be led by defending Champion Matt Burge, who is also the reigning Endeavour Trophy champion.
