C3R has signed Phil Robertson as helmsman on Extreme 40 Gazprom Team Russia for the remainder of the 2014 Extreme Sailing Series.

At just 27, Phil Robertson has already had an impressive sailing career and is well known in the professional sailing world. In the last 5 years, Phil has been involved in numerous sailing campaigns including skippering his team Waka Racing to 3rd place overall in the 2013 World Match Racing Tour, Sailing for China Team in the AC45 World Series and competed in a few thousand miles of ocean racing in between.

Phil's most recent venture is within the Extreme Sailing Series, having been signed by C3R as helmsman on Gazprom Team Russia for the recent Cardiff and Istanbul acts. Phil will remain with the team for the rest of the 2014 Extreme Sailing Series, racing in Nice and Sydney.

In an interview after his first event as helmsman for Gazprom Team Russia Phil said, "Working with C3R has been a very smooth and professional process. Having been involved with sailing professionally for a few years I have never dealt with a company like this before. The process went very smoothly and I believe a lot of people in the sailing industry can benefit from being involved with C3R."
