The ISAF World Sailing Rankings for 28 July 2014 have been released.

49erFX

World #2 pair Ida Marie Nielsen and Marie Thusgaard Olsen (DEN) applied some pressure to World #1 pair Martine Grael and Kahena Kunze (BRA) after they took European gold on their home waters.

The Danes came from behind to steal final day gold and sit 67 points behind the Brazilians in the 49erFX Rankings.

Annemiek Bekkering and Annette Duetz (NED) were victors at the 100-point Sail for Gold regatta and move up to World #5 from World #11.

Spain's Tamara Echegoyen and Berta Betanzos also reaped the rewards of 100-point regatta success. The pair won gold at Kieler Woche and climb up three spots to World #6.

49er

Jonas Warrer and Anders Thomsen (DEN) hold on to World #1 in the 49er after they finished fifth at the 49er European Championship but the stand out performers at the moment are Peter Burling and Blair Tuke (NZL).

The Kiwis hold a perfect score of 700 but only count four regattas and as a result sit World #4. Burling and Tuke have won four consecutive 49er regattas yet those above them count more regattas to their point's total.

There is no change in the top three with the Danes leading the way followed by John Pink and Stuart Bithell (GBR) and Julien D'ortoli and Noe Delpech (FRA).

Men's 470

Mat Belcher and Will Ryan (AUS) have moved back to World #1 in the Men's 470 after taking gold at the Open European Championship in Athens, Greece.

The Australians had lost their World #1 status when the rankings were last released as they only counted five regattas but now they count the full six and are 39 points clear at the top.

Panagiotis Mantis and Pavlos Kagialis (GRE) had the better of the Australians at the 100-point Kieler Woche regatta and leapfrog many of their rivals up to World #2.

With plenty of points available across four graded 470 regattas over the current period there are numerous changes of position throughout.

Women's 470

Camille Lecointre and Helene Defrance maintain their World #1 status following a seventh at the Open Europeans. Behind the French duo there are plenty of changes after the 100-point regatta.

Lara Vadlau and Jolanta Ogar (AUT) took the title in Athens and move up to World #6 having taken the full 100-points available.

ISAF Rolex World Sailors of the Year Jo Aleh and Polly Powrie (NZL) count five regattas to their points total and are at World #2. The Kiwis finished third at the Open Europeans to end their unbeaten run that included four regattas.

Former World #1 pair Fernanda Oliveira and Ana Luiza Barbachan (BRA) finished sixth at the Open Euros and move up five places to World #9. The Brazilians count four regattas to their total.

Kieler Woche gold medallists Annina Wagner and Lisa Panuschka (GER) picked up full points and sit at World #24.

Men's RS:X

Ricardo Santos (BRA) remains at World #1 in the Men's RS:X with four strong results from ISAF Sailing World Cup regattas to his name.

Poland's Piotr Myszka climbs up the rankings to World #5 having taken the honours at the RS:X European Championship, a 100-point regatta, in Cesme, Turkey.

Nick Dempsey (GBR) was victorious at the 100-point Sail for Gold but only counts three regattas to his point's total. He sits at World #16.

The experienced Julien Bontemps (FRA) and Maksym Oberemko (UKR) move into the top 25 following a steady start to the European racing season.

Women's RS:X

Flavia Tartaglini (ITA), Bryony Shaw (GBR) and Laura Linares (ITA) have been the most consistent performers over the 12 month period and retain their spots at World #1, #2 and #3.

Charline Picon (FRA) stormed to the European title in Cesme, Turkey at the start of July and counting four regattas she sits at World #10. Marina Alabau (ESP) finished second to the French racer in Turkey and is at World #35.

Laser

Croatia's Tonci Stipanovic moves up to World #1 in the Laser after taking gold at the Laser European Championship on his home waters.

The Croatian has been in fine form over the last 12 months and warmed up for the Santander 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championship with a convincing European victory in Split, Croatia.

Great Britain's Nick Thompson took bronze in Split and solidifies his spot at World #2 whilst silver medallist Rutger van Schaardenburg (NED) is at World #21.

Laser Radial

Germany's Svenja Weger was the surprise package at the Laser Radial European Championship revelling in the light breeze as she took three bullets out of six races to take gold.

The German was rewarded with 17 place rise up the rankings, going from World #45 up to World #28.

Marit Bouwmeester (NED) finished fifth at the Laser Radial Europeans in Split and as a result retains her World #1 status. There is no change in the top five with the Dutch sailor leading World #2 Evi Van Acker, World #3 Tatiana Drozdovskaya (BLR), World #4 Anne Marie Rindom and World #5 Nazli Cagla Donertas.

Finn

Italy's Michele Paoletti holds onto World #1 in the Finn on 846, two points clear of World #2 Bjorn Allansson (SWE).

Giles Scott (GBR) is the in-form Finn racer at the moment and has five consecutive regatta victories to his name. Scott is at World #14 on a perfect points total of 700. The Briton took gold at the 100-point Sail for Gold regatta and is looking impressive ahead of the Santander 2014 ISAF Worlds.

Estonia's Deniss Karpak took the honours at the months other 100-point regatta, Kieler Woche, and as a result moves up to World #5.

Nacra 17

Iker Martinez and Tara Pacheco (ESP) took their first major Nacra 17 title with victory at the European Championship in La Grand Motte, France. The pair have steadily improved in the Nacra 17 and will be ones to watch at the Santander 2014 ISAF Worlds in September. They move up one place to World #11 following their European success.

Italy's Vittorio Bissaro and Silvia Sicouri have a firm grip on World #1 after they took gold at Kieler Woche. They continue to be followed by Ben Saxton and Hannah Diamond (GBR) and Thomas Zajac and Tanja Frank (AUT) who are at World #2 and #3.

Lucy Macgregor and Andrew Walsh (GBR) won gold at Sail for Gold and as a result move up one place to World #8.
