On the second day of the Buzios Sailing Week the boats completed a fixed marks course in which the boats sailed around the Buzios peninsula, to the Geribá beach and then returned. Crioula finished in first position once again, followed by Magia V and Carioca.

Samuel Albrecht, winner boat's tactician, said that they are very happy with the results achieved until now and he explained: "It was a tough race, with an 11 knots wind at the beginning, although then we had to sail through many zones of calm. The boats changed their positions but finally Crioula took the lead and won this race, in which all the boats sailed very close to each other". He also said that the three boats are in a similar level and that this event is being a good training for next season.

With three races, Renato Plass' Crioula, skippered by Mauricio Santa Cruz (four-time J/24 world champion), remains as the leader of the Overall, followed by Magia V, property of the Olympic Medallist Torben Grael, and Roberto Martin's Carioca.

The event that is being held at the Iate Clube Armação de Búzios will end tomorrow with two more races, scheduled at midday.

Results after Day 2:

1st Crioula, 1/1/1, 3pts
2nd Magia V, 2/2/2, 6pts
3rd Carioca, 3/3/3, 9pts
