The final days sailing of the winter series took part with perfect winds and a cracking course, again thanks to Robert and his derigible buddy.

The wind was light but constant, the majority of the fleet opted for B rigs, whilst Tony Abraham used an A to no distinct advantage untill the last race. 11 races were sailed to give the series a total of 58 races and a total of 20 entries.

Homer (aged) sporting a new keel without stickers sponned his way to a pile of victories, points winner of the day and series winner overall. Tony thinking he was out of contention in the series concentrated on a day winner prize, in which he succeeded (points winner Homer had already won one which precluded him from another) Tony also managed to pull himself up the overall rankings for a third overall, pipping young Andrew Homer into 4th overall, after not sailing the final day, the lure of 3 international Rugby matches proved too much to resist!

Neil Rosie fought off Iain Duncan on the day with more consistent sailing and a 1 point lead for 3rd on the day, but Iain wasn't too troubled as he still held onto his series second overall. It's worth noting that had the series gone on for much longer, Neil would have been a top three contender.

Further down the fleet many had a good day and inspiration for future racing. Ron Wyper bagged his first win, Bobby Lennox another, John Patterson returned to form with a new servo, Derek Spall and Robert Cornwell were also regularily tussling at the front. To crown it all for Derek, he won the brand new B sail freely raffled by Odyssey to celebrate the last days racing.

So there it is another great winter series over, won by an overweight Cat sailor, Sonata sailor second, a less portly Cat sailor third and a whipper snapper 29er sailor 4th!
