OK Dinghy Inland Championship at Blithfield Sailing Club - Preview

Well! It certainly has been an awkward start to the season. Thank goodness the weather gods smiled on those brave enough to venture out for the Winter Championship at South Staffs before the RYA Dinghy Show was almost decimated by the snow and the Sprint Championship at Burghfield having to be postponed due to the severe conditions last weekend.

Anyway... it does seem to have been a little warmer just recently and with this in mind it seems prudent to remind you all that it is nearly time for the first major event of the UK season. Blithfield Sailing Club will be hosting the Inland championships over the weekend of the 14th and 15th of April. As we go to print entry numbers are expected to be good.

The event is being held jointly with the Enterprise class and the format will be 3 races on the Saturday and two, back to back, on the Sunday thus allowing for a reasonably early departure time.

The club are keen to keep sailors 'on the premises' and to this end are offering a sit down dinner on the Saturday evening together with a disco.

Camping is allowed at the club and the premises will be open on the Friday afternoon and early evening for early arrivals.
