Nebo is honoured to be an official sponsor of the 2018 Club Marine Geographe Bay Race Week which runs from 18-23 February on the pristine waters of Geographe Bay in Busselton, Western Australia.

Club Marine Geographe Bay Race Week is Western Australia's premier yachting regatta and a much anticipated event among the Yachting fraternity. Competitors, spectators, family and friends come together to enjoy the festival atmosphere of the event's on-water and off-water schedule.

With interest very strong for this year's regatta, numbers will exceed 45 yachts across four divisions competing in six days of competitive racing and Nebo look forward to supporting the event.

The 2018 Race Director, Nigel Chesterfield-Evans said that every year the event attracts competitors from around the nation and offers a racing schedule suitable for all levels of sailing ability.

"We are looking forward to being the first regatta to officially introduce the Nebo app to our fleet of competitors as it will not only allow us to better monitor each boats progress and safety but will also provide our skippers with a fabulous memory of the regatta," Mr Chesterfield-Evans said.

"Our skippers will be encouraged to download the free mobile app nebo.global and simply hit 'Start' at the beginning of each race day and Nebo will track and log their race," he said.

"At the end of each day, skippers will be emailed a daily PDF report which includes a detailed log, weather observations and any photos taken along the way. A great regatta memory and fun way to compare courses and tracks with fellow competitors," he said.

Nebo is an easy-to-use marine mobile app that is the first of its kind. Using advanced geofencing technology, Nebo creates and records detailed electronic voyage logs as a vessel enters or passes through maritime locations. The Daily Logs are great for record keeping and sharing with friends and family.

Skippers can share their race logs with individuals, groups or the public on most social media platforms, including facebook, instagram, whatsapp and more.

Comprising six days of racing and a jam-packed social calendar, the regatta is one of the most affordable events of its kind with entry fees from just AUD$295 per boat. With very competitive accommodation in Busselton, the regatta is a superb way to experience the region including the stunning coastlines and scenery, fine food and wine and unique tourism experiences.
