2017 Youth World Championship registration complete - Let's go sailing!

Registration in Sanya, China for the 2017 Youth Sailing World Championships has been completed with 374 sailors from 60 nations set to race in 255 boats across nine events.
The Opening Ceremony on Sunday 10 December will officially welcome the competitors before racing commences on Monday 11 December. Racing will run through to Friday 15 December where nine new Youth Worlds Champions will be crowned.
Weather Forecast
On the arrival day, sailors' were greeted by sunny skies, a warm climate, a sea breeze and warm water - perfect!
More of the same is expected for the competition with the sea breeze expected to come in from 11:00 each day and build as the day progresses.
Racing Format / Schedule
The Boy's and Girl's RS:X and Laser Radials will share race courses and will sail a trapezoid course. The Boy's and Girl's 29er and 420s will share boats and they will alternate the morning and afternoon racing session. They will sail a windward/leeward course. As will the Nacra 15 fleet but they will have an offset top mark.
