Introducing the SSW Winter Series! Ten events across the region, bringing you high quality racing throughout the winter:

  • 14th-15th Oct - Gul Allspars Final Fling (Royal Western YC, Plymouth)
  • 29th Oct - Wrecker Pursuit (North Devon YC, Instow)
  • 12th Nov - Penzance Pirate (Penzance Sailing Club)
  • 3rd Dec - Christmas Cracker (Paignton Sailing Club)
  • 28th Jan - Exe Sails Roadford Rocket (Roadford Lake Sailing Club)
  • 10th Feb - Channel Chop (Portishead Y&SC)
  • 25th Feb - Exe Sails Starcross (Steamer Starcross YC)
  • 10th Mar - Sutton Bingham Icicle (Sutton Bingham SC)

Sailing Southwest Winter Series Round 4 The 4th round of the Sailing Southwest Winter Series took place at the south coast Rivera resort of Paignton on Sunday 3rd December in a NE wind force 2-3. Penzance Pirate abandoned in 40kt winds
Dolphins spotted escorting competitors home Into Mounts Bay and the sole remaining Enterprise of Colin Stephens and Simon Lees blasted off on the downwind reaching start. Touching speeds of 14.8 knots, the Enterprise was moving rapidly to the gybe mark and the first of several capsizes. Posted on 14 Nov 2017
Sailing Southwest Winter Series starts
Ten events make up the 2017-18 schedule Sailing Southwest has launched the new SW Winter Series, with 10 gruelling Winter events spread out across the region. The events will take place between October 2017 and April 2018. Posted on 16 Oct 2017
South West Challenge 2016
Varying conditions at the three events The three race South West challenge series finished with the Wimbleball Beastie on Sunday, March 20th. The final race lived up to its name with a brisk northerly force 4 and cold conditions, but produced some excellent racing. Posted on 29 Mar 2016
South West Winter Series announced
