by Mark Thompson 4 Dec 2016 15:02 GMT 3 December 2016

100 members and their guests attended the ball held in the Deck restaurant at Plas Heli, the iconic Welsh national sailing events centre and were treated to an excellent Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings.

MC Gwyndaf Hughes kept the evening on track and Retiring Commodore Bob Lowe handed the club burgee over to Eifion Owen who takes over for the next two years, and introduced Gerrallt Williams who is appointed Rear Commodore. Jane Butterworth is appointed vice Commodore Both Bob and Eifion gave excellent and amusing speeches and then awarded the clubs racing trophies to the crews of Jac Y Do, Honeybee, Mojito, Jackknife and Sgrech.

Stephen Tudor and the Sgrech team, who are the ISORA champions and holders of the Wolfs Head for 2916 proudly accepted the Victoria Cup and ISORA team trophy on behalf of CHPSC along with the crews of Jackknife Mojito and Aquaplane.

A late evening of excellent disco music by Chris in the restaurant and lots of sailing chat in the bar into the early hours discussing the campaigns for 2017. Thanks to the staff of Plas Heli and chef Hugh Bracegirdle for a very successful evening
