The team for the 2017 P&B/Winner team has been chosen. This prestigious team takes some of the top sailors from the UK Optimist scene to form the Winner team for 2017.

This year P&B and Winner have taken the unusual step of selecting 4 sailors.

  • William Pank – What a season 2016 was for William! A string of podium finishes and 2nd places means he finishes the season towards the top of the national ranking nationally with a strong claim to being ranked number higher. In between Optimist sailing William stepped into the Feva and won the world junior and open world championships.

  • William (Mani) Heathcote - The only returning member and obvious elder statesman Mani needs no introduction. A strong win at the Inlands in 2016 confirmed his credentials. Now entering his final year could it be time to take over the top spot and claim the 2017 nationals?

  • Callum Davidson-Guild – The results speak for themselves. Ending the season as the number two ranked sailor in the country and a second overall at the French nationals to the world champion backed up with numerous top ten finishes at events throughout the season this is big year for Callum.

  • India Page–Wood – 2016 member of the European team and third at the recent winter championships India is on a roll! Probably one the hardest working members of the squad, 2017 is expected to be a breakthrough season for her with recent results showing the way.

Good luck to all the team for 2017. Follow us and them at www.pinbax.com or on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/pinbax
