What's in store from the RYA at the London Boat Show 2017

If you're heading to the London Boat Show in January to get your new year fix on all things boating, then make sure you drop by the RYA stand (C009) for all the latest advice and information.
Throughout the week we will be joined by members' of the RYA's Regional Development Team, experts from our Cruising, Legal and Government Affairs, Training and Membership teams who will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about the boating you do.
Visit the Information Hub to find out where your nearest club or training centre is located or where to find a specific course near you. Pick up useful information about boating abroad or buying a second-hand boat or simply find out more about all the great offers available to RYA members from over 50 member reward partners.
You'll also be able to purchase titles from the RYA's extensive range of publications, including the new Racing Rules of Sailing 2017-2020, as well as trial the ever growing series of eBooks, with their interactive content great for enhancing your skills or as the perfect instructor aid. As usual RYA members enjoy a 20% discount on all publications purchased at the show or collect your discount code from a member of staff to claim your 20% discount (including eBooks) through the web shop.
As well as scrolling through the great features of our eBooks, on one of the many iPads on the stand, visitors will also be able to trial the RYA SafeTrx App and learn how it works, how to log a trip and how it could benefit your safety out on the water.
With safety in mind, you'll also be able to pick up a copy of the latest edition of the RYA Safety Advisory Notice. Compiled for the leisure boater, the notice's fourth edition will focus on critical safety issues and trends that have arisen from incidents across the past year.
A visit to the stand is also the perfect opportunity to find out more about the new look RYA membership and how RYA membership can benefit you and the boating you do. Join, renew or why not share the RYA membership experience with your friends and family and take advantage of the Refer a Friend scheme. And finally, don't forget to join us on the stand (C009) on Wednesday, 11 when we reveal the winner of the prestigious RYA Yachtmaster™ of the Year award. The winner of the esteemed annual award will be recognised for demonstrating outstanding skills and knowledge as a skipper and will have exhibited their outstanding expertise during their Yachtmaster exam.
If that's not enough to keep you busy then the show itself plays host to over 300 exhibitors showcasing the best the marine world has to offer with anticipated debuts to the World and European stage, giving visitors a unique insight into what will be the most sought-after products and upcoming trends for the year ahead. Visitors can also expect a number of new attractions at the 2017 show including:
The new Dream Lodge Marina & Boating Lake offering a spectacular place to see yachts afloat, a place to eat and drink and be part of up close cooking demos
The new Watersports Park provides is a totally interactive pool dedicated to all things Watersports - it's the place to get on the water for free and have a go at kayaking, zorbing, and Stand-Up Paddle boarding.
The London Stage is the Shows live entertainment hub with a packed time table of exclusive new shows - featuring high-octane fashion shows, all new interactive quiz show (yes you could be part it), interview shows with sailing celebs, industry pioneers and adventurers, all hosted by Sky Sports Alec Wilkinson. Plus it's the place to experience awards shows and live music

The RYA is delighted to be offering all members a FREE ticket to the London Boat Show. Not only can members claim their FREE ticket for any day of the show (including Public Preview Day), they will also be able to purchase up to three additional tickets at the discounted price of £12.00 each (a transaction fee of £1.95 applies for purchased tickets).

Three shows for the price of one
As well as all that the London Boat Show has to offer, on the final Friday, Saturday and Sunday (13-15 January) the Telegraph Cruise Show and the Telegraph Travel show are all taking place at Excel and all London Boat Show ticket holders will have access to these Shows as well. So that's three shows for the price of one - a huge saving for RYA members! (Access to these Shows is on the same day only.)
