RS:X Youth World Championship at Limassol, Cyprus - Overall

by worldofwindsurf 27 Nov 2016 06:09 GMT 19-26 November 2016

A light Mediterranean breeze, changes in the rankings, lots of emotions and drama on the final day of competition.

Great back-to-back final races for the men's gold, silver fleets and the women's final race, followed by the Medal races which included the top 10 competitors who got to challenge each other for the last time in the great showcase in front of the Limassol Nautical Sailing Club in Limassol, Cyprus.

Another great Championship event has come to an end for the International RS:X Olympic Windsurfing Class. After a week of interesting sailing in conditions that varied from strong winds to light wind at the end of the week, making this World Championship interesting and emotional for all involved.

Congratulations to all the Youth competitors who participated in the Championship and, last but not least the new RS:X Youth World Champions, Katy Spychakov and Yoav Omer who proudly defended his World Champion title.
