A breezy west south westerly greeted sailors for Chipstead Sailings Club's Enterprise Open meeting.
Race Officer Alex Ross was able to set a relatively simple straight forward course, using the whole lake, with 2 short races in the morning and a longer one in the afternoon.
Race 1 got off to a very close start with Paul Turner rounding the first mark first with Dave Beaney, Pete Boulden and Ric Lewis following but over the course of the next 3 laps Beaney gradually pulled ahead followed by Lewis, Boulden and Turner.
Race 2 started with Boulden and Beaney leading swapping places for while before Beaney finally pulled away then followed by Lewis, Boulden and Turner.
Everyone then came in to recover from the morning exertions and have lunch and beverages to boost their energy levels ready for the afternoon race.
Race 3 was again led away by Boulden who held the lead for most of the race but was finally flummoxed by Beaney on the run, where he was able to make better use of the many shifts and gusts. Turner was also going well until finally overtaken by Lewis near the end.
The prizes were presented by club commodore Greg Jenkins and well organised by Alan Ross
